यज्ञ क्या क्यों कैसे?

अग्न्याधान से पूर्व, अग्नि प्रज्वलित करने के लियेएक नई दीयासलाई, कपूर, (या सूखे नारियल के पतले लम्बे टुकड़े), एक पंखा और एक चिमटा पास में रखा होना चाहिए| यज्ञ में काम आने वाली सभी वस्तुएँ जैसे यज्ञ-शाला यज्ञ-कुण्ड , यज्ञ-पात्र, सामग्री, समिधाएँ तथा आसनों इत्यादि की स्वच्छता और शुद्धता का ध्यान रखना जरुरी है क्योंकि इन्हीं से याज्ञिक के मन में यज्ञ के प्रति श्रद्धा और प्रेम जागृत होता है जो यज्ञ-कर्म के लिए परमावश्यक है| प्रायः देखा गया है की अधिकतर याज्ञिक तथा अतिथिगण पौराणिकों की देखा-देखी आचमन के पश्चात् आचमन वाले हाथ को अपने सर के ऊपर से ले जाते हैं जो सरासर अवैदिक पद्धति है| आचमन वाले गीले हाथ को स्वच्छ वस्त्र (नैप्किन या रुमाल) से पोंछ देना चाहिए|

समिदाधान:-समिदाधान की तीन समिधाएँ यजमान (पति) द्वारा एक-एक करके अर्पित की जाती हैं| यजमान की धर्मपत्नी का कर्तव्य है कि वह भी पति के हाथों को नीचे से स्पर्श करे| अग्नि प्रदीप्त करने के लिये चन्दन या पलाशादि की तीन समिधाएँ (आठ अंगुल लगभग 7” लम्बी और मोटाई अंगूठे के परिमाण से अधिक न हो (ऐसा कात्यायन ऋषि का मत है) पूरी तरह से घी पात्र में डूबी होनी चाहिए| इन समिधाओं पर सामग्री नहीं लगानी चाहिये| एक-एक समिधा को घी पात्र से निकालकर, दोनों हाथों की दसों उंगलीयों से स्पर्श करते हुए मंत्रोच्चारण की समाप्ति पर यज्ञकुंड में प्रज्वलित अग्नि के ऊपर (पहली समिधा उत्तर में, दूसरी दक्षिण में, और तीसरी समिधा मध्य में) श्रद्धापूर्वक चढ़ावें| यहाँ घी या सामग्री की आहुति देने का विधान नहीं है और न ही समिदाधान के बीच में दूसरी समिधा/समिधाएँ चढ़ाने का नियम है| समिदाधान के पश्चात् ही छोटी और मोती समिधाएँ रखी जा सकती हैं| तदन्तर अग्नि प्रज्वलित करने हेतु पाँच घृताहुति-मन्त्रों में केवल घृत की आहुतियाँ एक-एक मन्त्र की समाप्ति पर ‘स्वाहा’ के साथ प्रदान की जाती हैं| जल-प्रसेचन विधि इस प्रक्रिया को समझने के लिये आपको यह जान लेना चाहिये की यज्ञ–प्रक्रियाओं में अथवा पश्चिम दिशा से आरम्भ होकर पूर्व दिशा में समाप्त होता है| इसी प्रकार जहाँ पर जलधारा समाप्त होती है, वहाँ से जल छिड़कने के लिये जल के समाप्त छोर से अन्दर की ओर से आरम्भ होता है| जल छिड़कने का कार्य हवनकुण्ड की निचली मेखला से नौ इंच (9’) भूमि छोड़कर जल छिड़का जाता है| जल छिड़कते समय घृत सामग्री आदि सम्पूर्ण हवि-द्रव्य जलधारा के अन्दर की ओर होने चाहिये|

यज्ञ में काम आने वाली लड़कियों को लकड़ी न कहकर ‘समिधा’ कहते हैं| यज्ञकुण्ड के परिणाम के हिसाब से, यज्ञ के लिये उपयोगी छोटी=बड़ी सब समिधाओं को यज्ञकुण्ड में चढ़ाने (डालने) से पहले अच्छी तरह से साफ करके धुप में पूर्णरूप से सुखा लेना चाहिये ताकि उसमें से जीव-जन्तु निकल जाएँ और नहीं होती और धुआँ उत्पन्न होता है जो स्वास्थ्य के लिये हानिकारक होता है| (संस्कारविधि)| कोयला जलाकर यज्ञ नहीं किया जाता| यज्ञाग्नि में पशु-मांस इत्यादि अभक्ष्य पदार्थों की आहुति देना वर्जित है| निरुक्त 2.7 में ‘यज्ञ’ को ‘अध्वर’ की संज्ञा दी गई है अर्थात् यज्ञकर्म में किसी भी प्रकार की हिंसा नहीं होती| अतः अग्नि में डालने से पहले समिधाओं की ध्यानपूर्वक जाँच कर लेनी चाहिये की उसमें कोई जीव-जन्तु तो नहीं हैं| जिस लकड़ी के जलने से कार्बन-डाई-आँक्साइड गैस की मात्रा कम से कम निकलती हो| जिस लकड़ी के जलने से कार्बन-मोनो-आँक्साइड उत्पन्न न होती हो या अन्य कोई विषैली गैस पैदा न होती हो| लकड़ी कठोर नहीं हो| वृक्ष की लकड़ी जिस के पत्ते तोड़ने पर दूध जैसा द्रव्य निकलता हो| ऐसी लकड़ी जो जलने पर रख हो जाती है, कोयला नहीं| चन्दन, आम, पीपल, बड़, गूलर, पलाश, शमी जैसे वृक्षों की लकड़ियाँ समिधा के रूप में प्रयोग करनी उचित होती हैं| ऋग्वेद के मन्त्र (८.१०२.21) में स्पष्ट आज्ञा प्रदान है कि ‘जिस वृक्ष की लकडियों को दीमक या उसकी जाती का कोई कीट (कीड़ा) खाता है, वहसब पीपल, ढाक आम, आदि की कोमल लकड़ियाँ तेरा प्रदीपक हैं| अर्थात् उपर्युक्त वृक्ष की लकड़ी को समिधा के उपयोग में लाना उचित है| अध्वर अर्थात् हिंसा रहित (ऋग्वेद: १.१.८,ऋ. १.२६.१, ऋ. १.४४.१३), (यजुर्वेद: १.१, ३.23, ६.11), (अथर्ववेद: ४.24.३, १.४.२, ५.12.२, 18.२.२) और (मनुस्मृति: ३.१६) इत्यादि, ऐसे अनेक मन्त्र हैं जिनमें कहा गया है कि ‘सब प्रकार के जीवों की रक्षा करो’, ‘उनकी हत्या मत करो’|

यज्ञ में किसी भी प्रकार के पशु-मांस का प्रयोग करना वर्जित ही नहीं, घोर अपराध है-महा-पाप है| ‘स्वाहा’ उच्चारण किये बिना आहुति देना व्यर्थ है| ‘स्वाहा’ को यज्ञ का ‘आत्मा’ कहा गया है| ‘स्वाहा’ का अर्थ है त्याग और समर्पण भाव से प्रदान करना| स्वाहा के उच्चारण से अहंकार/अभिमान समाप्त होता है| अतः चहिये| स्वाहा शब्द के अनेक अर्थ हैं| वैदिक विद्वानों के अनुसार सु+आह=स्वाहा=(१) सुमधुर बोलो| (२) सत्य बोलो और अपनाओ| (३) जो मन में है, वही वाणी से बोलो और अपने कहे अनुसार कर्म करो अर्थात् मन-वचन-कर्म में कोई अन्तर न हो| (४) जो कर्म करो समर्पण भावना से करो| (५) त्यागपूर्वक कर्म करो| (६) स्वाहा का अर्थ होता है-काम, क्रोध, लोभ, मोह, ईर्ष्या, राग-द्वेष, मन-अपमान, चुगली, अहंकार, बदले की भावना इत्यादि जैसे अपने अन्दर छुपी हुई बुराइयों को आहुत करना| शुध्द घी तथा सामग्री की आहुतियाँ मन्त्रोच्चारण के अंत में ‘स्वाहा’ उच्चारण के साथ यज्ञ कुण्ड के मध्य में प्रज्वलित अग्नि के ऊपर ही ठीक प्रकार से प्रदान करनी चहिये जिससे घी या सामग्री यज्ञ कुण्ड के बाहर न गिरने पाये| यह यज्ञ की एक विशेष आचार-संहिता है-‘पहले मंत्र पाठ तदनन्तर क्रिय’ और इस अनुशासन का पालन यज्ञ में भाग ले रहे, यज्ञवेदी पर बैठे, सभी सदस्यों को अनिवार्य रूप से करना चाहिये| मंत्रोच्चारण के पश्चात् ‘स्वाहा’ के साथ ही यज्ञकुंड में अग्नि में शुध्द घृत तथा सामग्री की आहुति प्रदान करनी चाहिये| (शतपथब्राह्राण: १.५.३.१३, ३.३.२.7) ‘स्वाहा यज्ञं कृणोत्न’ (ऋग्वेद: १.१३.१२) इस मन्त्रांश में भी वही आदेश है कि ‘मंत्रोच्चारण के पश्चात् ही ‘स्वाहा’ उच्चारण के साथ ही आहुति प्रदान करने की क्रिया करनी चाहिये|’ प्रत्येक मनुष्य को कम से कम सोलह आहुतियाँ प्रदान करनी चाहिए और अधिक आहुतियाँ देने की इच्छा हो तो ‘ॐ विश्वानि देव सवित्दुर्रितानि परा सुव| यद् भद्रं तन्न आ सुव||’ इस मंत्र और पूर्वोक्त गायत्री मंत्र; (ॐ भूभुर्वः स्वः| तत्सवितुर्व-रेणयं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि| धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्||) से आहुति देनी चाहियें| सामग्री को तीन १. अनामिका (हाथ की दूसरी उंगली जिसमें अँगूठी पहनते हैं), २. मध्यमा (बीच की लम्बी उंगली) और ३. (अँगूठे) से पकड़ना चाहिये| ‘स्विष्टकृत आहुति’ का अर्थ है ‘इष्टसुखकारिणी’ अर्थात् अच्छे प्रकार से चाहे हुए सुख को (प्रदान) करने वाली आहुति (ऋग्वेदादिभाष्यभूमिकाः राजधर्मविषय) स्विष्टकृत़् अर्थात् अच्छे प्रकार से सुख को करने वाला| प्रधान यज्ञ के पश्चात् ही स्विष्टकृत आहुति देने का विधान है| यह आहुति प्रधान हवन की पुष्कलता के लिये होती है अतः यज्ञ की समाप्ति पर ही दि जाती है, पहले नहीं| किसी भी सुपात्र व्यक्ति या संस्था के कल्याण तथा उत्थान हेतु प्रदान की जाने वाली सहायता राशी तथा वस्तु ‘दान’ कहाती है|

‘दान’ श्रध्दा और प्रेम से भेंट किया जाता है| यज्ञ के सन्दर्भ में ‘दान’ की परिभाषा है-त्याग एवं समर्पण भाव से अपना सर्वस्व ईश्वर को अर्पित करना| स्मरण रहे की दान माँगा नहीं जाता, अपनी इच्छा से भेंट किया जाता है| दान की वस्तुएँ-फल, वस्त्र, बरतन, आभूषण, धनराशी इत्यादि अनेक उपयोगी वस्तुएँ भेंट की जा सकती हैं| विद्या-दान सर्वश्रेष्ट दान कहाता है| (ऋ.१.१२०.६) उत्तम दाता उसको कहते हैं जो देश, काल और पात्र को जानकर सत्य विद्या, धर्म की उन्नति रूप परोपकारार्थ देवे| सत्यपुरुषों की ही सेवा और सुपात्रों को दान किया करो| (यजु. १.१०२.५) यज्ञ के ब्रह्मा का कर्तव्य/काम है यज्ञकर्म की गतिविधियों का बारीकी से निरीक्षण करना, होने वाली त्रुटियों को सुधारना तथा मार्गदर्शन करना| यदि यज्ञ के दौरान त्रुटियाँ राह जाती हैं तो उसका उत्तरदायित्व ब्रह्मा पर होता है| देखा गया है कि ब्रह्मा/पुरोहितगण यज्ञकर्म कराने के बदले में अपने समय का मुआवज़ा ‘धन’ माँगते हैं जो एक अवैदिक परम्परा है| यज्ञकर्म करने से यजमान को सांसारिक सुख-सुविधाओं की प्राप्ति होती है, मोक्ष की नहीं| मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है-वेदाध्ययन करके वेदोक्त आचरण से, मन, वचन और कर्म द्वारा सत्याचरण से, पातंजलि अष्टांग योग के अभ्यास से तथा निष्काम कर्मो के करने से और ईश्वर समर्पण से|

स्वर्ग कहते हैं-संसार में सब सुख-सुविधओं के साथ जीवन जीने को, अनुकूल परिस्थितियों में जीने को, जिस घर में नित-प्रतिदिन संध्योपासना होती हो, नियमित रूप से यज्ञ होता हो, घर में सुख-सम्पत्ति-समृद्धि हो, शांति हो, सुशिक्षित धर्मपत्नी और चरित्रवान पति हो, उनकी आज्ञाकारी संतानें हो, वैदिक सन्यासियों, विद्वानों, अतिथियों और मित्रो का आवागमन हो, सभी एक-दूसरे की बात मानते हों आदि जहाँ ऐसी परिस्थितियॉ हों, समझो वह घर स्वर्ग है अन्यथा विपरीत परिस्थितियों को ‘नरक’ कहते हैं| सांसारिक सुख का सम्बन्ध भौतिक शरीर से होता है अतः सुख में कहीं न कहीं दुःख मिश्रित होता है और सुख का अंत दुःख ही होता है अतः हमें मोक्ष की तीव्र इच्छा रखनी चाहिये| मोक्ष अर्थात् सब प्रकार के दुःखो से छुट जाना| हवन से वायु शुध्द होकर सुवृष्टि होती है, उससे शरीर निरोग और बुध्दी विशद होती है, विद्या प्राप्त होती है और स्वर्ग अर्थात् सुख की प्राप्ति होती है| (उपदेशमंजरी) |

धूप / यज्ञीय पदार्थ / समिधाएं

भारत में लोक परम्परा से संबंधित यह ज्ञान वैदिक समय (१०००-५००० बी.सी.) से देखा जा सकता है। हमारे वैदिक ग्रंथ, ऋग्वेद, यजुर्वेद और अथर्ववेद में ऐसे कई उदाहरण सामने आते हैं जिससे स्पष्ट होता है कि वैदिक समय में लोगों द्वारा वनस्पतियों का उपयोग चिकित्सा के रूप में हुआ करता था। ऋग्वेद में ६७, यजुर्वेद में ८१, आयुर्वेद में ७००, अथर्ववेद में २९०, सिद्ध पद्धति में ६०० तथा यूनानी पद्धति में ७०० औषधीय प्रजातियों का वर्णन मिलता है। चरक द्वारा ४३१ प्रजातियों का वर्णन तथा सुश्रुत द्वारा ३९५ प्रजातियों का वर्णन किया गया है।

अनादि काल से ही प्राणीजगत और वानस्पतिक जगत में अटूट संबंध रहा है। इनका अटूट एवं स्वस्थ संबंध ही स्वच्छ पर्यावरण की स्थापना करता है। वनस्पति जीवनीय वस्तु प्रोटीन, वसा एवं शर्करा जैसी प्रधान वस्तुओं तथा लवण एवं जल का संगठित स्वरूप है, जिनके ऊपर संपूर्ण प्राणी-जगत अपना भरण-पोषण करता है। वैज्ञानिक विश्लेषण से यह ज्ञात भी हो चुका है कि वृक्षों से भिन्न-भिन्न रसों की प्राप्ति होती है और अपने इन गुणों के कारण ही ये वानस्पतिक रस रोगों को शांत करने वाले हैं। कुछ वृक्ष ऐसे भी हैं जिनसे मिश्रित रसों के स्वाद का आभास होता है। इस प्रकार मीठे, अम्ल और नमकीन रसों के मिश्रण में वातशामक, चरपरे, मीठे, एवं कषाय रसों के मिश्रण में पित्तशामक तथा चरपरे, कड़वे और कषैले रसों के मिश्रण में कफनाशक गुण पाए जाते हैं। निष्कर्षत: यह कहा जा सकता है कि उपर्युक्त सभी छ: रसों में त्रिदोषनाशक गुण विद्यमान हैं। इन तथ्यों से स्पष्ट है कि पृथ्वी से जल एवं लवण, सूर्य से प्रकाश तथा वायु से कार्बन की प्राप्ति वनस्पति शरीर में भिन्न-भिन्न प्रकार की शक्ति प्रदान कर वनस्पति जीवन का संधारण करती है। इन वनस्पतियों की यही शक्तियाँ प्रदूषणजन्य रोगों में औषधि का कार्य करती है। वृक्ष न केवल भू-क्षरण को रोकने, छाया प्रदान करने, मरुस्थल को उर्वरा भूमि में बदलने, इमारती सामान, र्इंधन, अधिक वर्षा होने तथा औषधि रूप में उपयोगी हैं बल्कि पर्यावरणीय प्रदूषण को रोकने और कम करने में भी लाभदायक सिद्ध हुए हैं। वायु, जल, स्थल, रासायनिक प्रदूषण आदि के कारण उत्पन्न अनेक रोग जैसे वात-पित्त-कफ, ज्वर, शोध (dropsy), विषूचिका (cholera), पाण्डुता (pallor), सिरदर्द, श्वास (asthma), कुष्ठ (leprosy), खुजली, राज्यक्षमा (T.B.), क्षय, अतिसार (diarrhea), उाल्टयाँ (vomiting) आदि इन वृक्षों के फल, पूल, छाल, पत्तियों इत्यादि के विविध उपयोगों से समूल नष्ट हो जाते हैं। वनस्पति जीवनीय वस्तु प्रोटीन, वसा एवं शर्करा जैसी वस्तुओं तथा लवण एवं जल का संगठित स्वरूप है, जिनसे संपूर्ण प्राणी-जगत अपना भरण-पोषण करता है। इन तत्वों के भिन्न-भिन्न मात्रा में संगठित होने से वृक्षों में छ: प्रकार के रस निर्मित होते हैं जो इस प्रकार हैं- १. मधुर (dulacious), २. अम्ल (acid), ३. लवण (salt), ४. कटु (bitter), ५.तिक्त (acrid)तथा ६. कषाय (astringent) आदि।

धूप यज्ञ हवन सामग्री

धूप/यज्ञ में यदि कार्बन डाई ऑक्साइड असीमित गति से निकलती होती तो वहाँ पर भला किसी का बैठा रहना क्या सरल होता? किसी थोड़े स्थान पर अधिक संख्या में जनता के एकत्र होने पर दम घुटने लगता है, लोग तुरन्त वहाँ से भागने लगते हैं, किन्तु यज्ञ में ऐसा नहीं होता, प्रत्युत यज्ञ की सुरभि से जन-जन का मनमयूर प्रफुल्लित होकर नाच उठता है। यह सम्भव होता है, उस अनुपम उत्तम हवन सामग्री से, जिसको आहुतियों के रूप में अर्पित किया जाता है। यह हवन सामग्री पुष्टिकारक, सुगन्धित, मिष्ट एवं रोगनाशक वनस्पतिक पदार्थों के रेशेदार मोटे मिश्रण से बनायी जाती है, जिससे न तो सामग्री उड़कर इधर-उधर गिरती है और न श्वास के माध्यम से कोई अवरोध उत्पन्न करती है और उसका गैसीय गुण कई गुना बढ़कर वातावरण को पुष्ट, सुरभित, मधुर व आरोग्य गुणों से परिपूर्ण कर देता है। सामग्री के मोटा कूटे जाने का लाभ यह होता है कि उसमें वायु संचार होने से कृमि शीघ्र नहीं पड़ते हैं और यज्ञकुण्ड में सामग्री ठोस न होकर बिखरी रहकर अच्छी जलती है।

केसर में एक रंगद्रव्य, तेल, कोसीन नामक ग्लूकोसाइड तथा शर्करा होती है। हवन में इसका प्रयोग मस्तिष्क को बल देता है। चंदन की समिधाओं से हवन करने से वायुमण्डल शुद्ध एवं सुगंधित होता है। यह शामक, दुर्गन्धहर, दाहप्रशमन तथा रक्तशोधक होता है। हवन में इसका प्रयोग मानसिक व्यग्रता तथा दुर्बलता को दूर करने के लिए किया जाता है। ब्राह्मी का यज्ञ में प्रयोग मेधावर्धक होता है साथ ही मानसिक विकार, रक्त, श्वास, त्वचा संबंधी रोगों का निवारक होता है। इसमें मस्तिष्कीय संरचनाओं के लिए उपयोगी आजोब्रालिक एसिड होता है। सतावरी का हवन वात, पित्त विकारों को दूर करने के लिए किया जाता है। अश्वगंधा में ग्लाइकोसाइड, स्टार्च, शर्करा पायी जाती है यह बलदायक होता है। वट वृक्ष की समिधाओं का प्रयोग रक्त विकारों को मुक्त करने के लिए होता है। कपूर के धुएँ में नजलानाशक गुण होता है शक्कर का हवन हैजा, टी.बी. चेचक आदि बीमारियों को शीघ्र नष्ट करता है। गुग्गल शरीर के अन्दर के कृमियों को मारता है। इस प्रकार यज्ञ में अनेक वनोषधियों का प्रयोग अनेक बीमारियों से हमें बचाता है साथ ही वातावरण को शुद्ध एवं सुगन्धमय बनाता है।

देवीय धूप/हवन सामग्री निम्नानुसार हैं-  कमलगट्टे, मखाने, कपूर काचरी, जावित्री, अगर-तगर, जायफल, नागर-मोथा, भोजपत्र, जटा माँसी, सूखी-बीला, छाल-छवीला, रक्त चंदन, चन्दन बूरा, गुगल, पीली सरसों, जटामांसी, वच, कुष्ठ, शिलाजीत, दारु, हल्दी, सठी, चम्पक, मुरता, सर्वोमधी। अर्क, उपमार्ग, शमी, कुशा, खैर, दूर्वा, इलायची, शकर, मिश्री, पीपल का पत्ता, उड़द दाल, समुद्र का झाग, राई, लाजा, सहदेवी पुष्प, भांग, बरक गुंजा, कपूर, शंखपुष्पी, पान, मधु, केला, भैंसा गुगल, नीम गिलोय, जायफल, आंवला, विष्णुकांता, आम्रफल, लोंग, हरताल, कटहल, कागजी निंबू, मेनसिल, शिलाजीत, खिरणी, सिंघाड़ा, वच सुगंधित द्रव्य, अष्टांग धूप, पायस, गुलकंद शतावरी, सौंठ, अबीर, केशर, दालचीनी, काली हल्दी, कस्तूरी, वङ्कादन्ती, मोर पंखी, शिव लिंगी, आमी हल्दी, कपीठ (चूक) पटपत्र, मालकांगणी, मक्खन, अनार के फूल, फल नारंगी, नागकेशर, फूलप्रयंगु, अशोक के पुष्प या पत्र, बिल्वपत्र।

Different Applications of Dhoop

Dashanga dhoop :-
According to Madanratna – 6 parts of kushtho. Two parts of jaggery, three parts of lakh, five parts of nakhla, hard, ral of same proportion, taj one part, shilajoy three part, nagar motha four part guggal, one part this makes good dashanga dhoop.
Shorosanga dhoop – Agar, tagar, kustha, shailaja, sharkara, nagarmotha, chandan, ilaichi, taja, nakhankhi, mushirang, jatamasi, karpan, talisdal, guggal consists of shorosange dhoop. This dhoop is used in pitrikarya (worship of ancestors).

Different application of dhoop :-
Fruit of kateri, the skin of snake, ghee, guggal dhoop, the fan of peacock, pure ghee, binole, hair of goat and flower offered to shivji should be used as dhuni, it cures balarishtha.
Bilwa, devdaru and priyangu roots should be crushed together and if it is put in the dhuni its keeps us away from ghosts and bad spirits. The persom who performs havan with palash flower and cow ghee and recites Gayatri mantra gets all that he wishes to have.

In the past chemical insecticide or fertilizers were not there. We only used cow dung as fertilizers. That time the crops and vegetables grown in such fields were much tastier and much more nutritious. As fuel also we used cow dung cakes and wood to cook. Food women used to cook food in this way were healthier and stronger. Fume of cow dung purifies the air, in the same way cow ghee also is very nutritious and a spoon of cow ghee put on burning cow dung cake gives ample quantity of oxygen which purifies 40×40×40 area. yagna in ancient time was performed for this reason.
In older days yagnas were performed in every home that is why our country is known as yognaya. Ravan acquired subtle powers by means of yagna only.
Every morning and evening ignite a piece of cow dung cake and put it in a earthen lamp. Put 8-10 rice mixed with cow ghee so that it can be burn. This prevents vastu dosh in a house. Resident is remains is good health and there is peace in the house and brings prosperity.
On a no moon day take one cow dung cake, put it in a havan kund or a tagari (a shallow tub) following things should be mixed and every person in the house offer five times on this :-
Cow ghee, rice, black til, jow, gnd, sandal wood crush desi kapur, guggal. This helps the resident of the home to remain healthy and boosts the financial position and also brings welfare and peace in the house.
Every morning and evening if we light a dhuni with a piece of cow dung cake, huni powder, deshi kapoor, cow ghee it brings happiness, peace and prosperity.
Bhojpatra is a holy patra which was used by our sages for writing mantras. Sriyantras made in these bhojpatra is very effective. People who light bhojpatra as dhoop is found to get positive results pertaining to money. Specially writer should keep bhojpatra and it gives a positive effect.

The dhoop of kapur, agar, loban, nakhi, tagara, scented chandan paeify the burning sensation.
Aswa gandha, nirgundi, badi kateli, pipal dhoop helps the pain of piles.
Sahjana leave put in a copper plate and cruse it with a copper hammer and mix it with ghee. The dhoop of above ingredient helps in eye problem, watering, ache and other.
Flower of Arjun, baibidang, kaliyari root, khas, dhoop saral, ral, chandan and kut should be taken in same proportion and crushed and used is dhoop. The fume of this dhoop kills worms. If put in the cot it kills bed bugs and if put in head kills lice. Dhuni of Makoi flower dipped in ghee cures eyes. It kills the germs in the eyes.
We can control high fever with the dhoop of leaves of neem, bach, kuth, hard, sarson (mustard), and gugal mixed with ghee.
Acne, worms, itching can be cured by the dhoop of neem leaves, Bach, hing, sendha namak, and mustard and ghee mixed in the same proportion together.
Treatment by yagna is extremely good. Neither we have to consume it nor we have to digest it.

Dhoop Yagya & Aroma Therapy

In vedic scripture germs are called as asma or demon. Atharraveda 1/2/31/32/4/37/5/23/29 has decribed variety of worms. If has named as yatudhan, krabyat, pisach, raksha etc. These demons enter in our body through our breathe, food, water and air and cuts our flesh and puts the disease in our body. Because it gives ‘yatna’ or pain these are known as “yatudhan”. They eat up our flesh that is why they are called “krabyat” or “pisach”, yagna kills these worms and saves us from diseases.

Smoke cures many diseases like headache, ear and eye ache, cough asthma, weakness of teeth, indigestion, worms, hair problem, sneezing, feeling sleepy etc.

Smoking should be in the following eight times:

  • After bathing
  • After food
  • After vomiting
  • After sneezing
  • After brushing teeth
  • After consuming nasya
  • After putting kajal
  • After waking up.
  • At a time three puffs should be taken and thrice it should be repeated.

Dhoop samagri should be prepared by haranurka, priyangu big chadamom, kesar, nakhi, scented white chandan, tej patta, dalchini, green cardamon, khas, padmakastha, dhyamak, mulhati, jatamasi, guggal, agar, sharkara, bark of bargad, gular, pipal, pakud and lodh, wild sarjaras, nagar motha, kamal, shailaya, neelkamal, sribeshtak, shallaki, shukbhai. The whole thing should be crushed and kept around a sharkanda and then thumb like tablets should be made and then dried up and should be drenched into ghee or oil before using for smoking.

Dhoop yagna has three benefits:-

It helps in increasing physical strength.
It enhances mental strength and helps in attaining excellence.
Purify air and atmosphere.
Our sages has proved that yagna fire releases less carbon dioxide and spreads beneficial particles. That is why they have confirmed yagna as the best karma (shreshtha karma). Our Ayurveda charyas like Charak, Shushruta, Banbhatta has also agreed that yagna chikitsha is of high order. It is treatment of physical problem and mental illness also. The problem of mental tension, mania, irritation, suspicion, sexual problem, egoism, frustration, laziness, forgetfulness, lack of faith is all symptoms of mental illness. These can be cured by havan.

What are the effects of yagna atmosphere on health?

If we look back we see how much healthy our sages used to be. Even common persons lived a long healthy life. Not only they were physically strong, they also had immense mental strength and power. There were no doctors, no modern medicine. Young boys and girls never bad wear spects, nor did they have bad teeth. They were not patients of indigestion. People used to be cured in a simple way. Every person had a regulated way of living and they were regularly performing jap, dhyan, havan etc. Vaids were there but they were not greedy as the doctors of modern time. Food consumed was also pure and simple. Vaids even prescribed yagna and it cured the patients.

More than physical ailment now-a-days there is excessive mental problem. These are all due to less oxygen. Irritation, tiredness, fear, stammering, these are all mental problem. The problem can be hundreds percent tackled by yagna. Mania, anger, impatience, greedy, egoistic, suspicion there problem have all most no cure in the allopathic treatment. Patient will be given sleeping pills nothing else. These problem can be controlled by havan Good oxygen inhalation helps such patients.

If the cells of our body dosent get sufficient amount of oxygen then mental helath will get effected. The gases produced during Havan provides ailments, which will help in overcome mental diseases. Havan can cure mental diseases like insanity, epilepsy, headache etc.

In today’s time, most of our concerns can be solved by sacrifice. It is said in Manusmriti that coming into contact with the yajna gives rise to brahmanism. This has been said because a person is free from psychosis when he is in contact with the heat of the yagna. Man becomes thoughtful and characterful. Increased intelligence in human beings leads to excellence in emotions. In the new time, most of our concerns can be solved by sacrifice. This is a scientific solution that can overcome our problems. The Yajna atmosphere serves to strengthen the mindset and body. And communicates in our lives. There is excitement in life through Yajna.

The religion of the environment is a mysterious science. Human health depends on the physical and mental conditions of our body as well as energy. When the energy fields around us are shreyas, positive, and effective, then we are also fully excited, jubilant, bright, and happy.
